« A Arte vinga a vida »
Luigi Pirandello
The 7 deadly sins, the 7 virtues and the modern sins.
My wish
To create a scenography putting the viewer in the centre of the space defined by the pieces I’m going to create.
These pieces will each represent a sin, a virtue.
They are objects to watch as through a screen, and that watch us as through a mirror.
The questions are
Showing the perceptions of our society’s evils.
Depicting timeless messages that play with the senses, the fears, the dreads, the aversions, the anger until fascination.
Getting the spectator out of his comfort zone throughout a pictorial writing calling on what is settled.
The choice of a coded figurative image that frames individual emotion and gives a collective sensory experience.
The wish through my artistic practice: to touch the soul.
Reintroduce an ensemble of feelings and reintroduce poetry in the meeting with the work. Stepping out of the description and documentary fields in favour of sincerity. Reduce the sensitivity’s interface by sharing common affects and perceptions.
This is what I’m pursuing through my creation.
The moods and the affects as a response to the presentation of the plastic form.
The present list was cited by Thomas Aquinas in the 13th century .
